Simplify Your Monthly Expanded Withholding Tax with Accubooks
Filing your Expanded Withholding Tax (EWT) shouldn’t be a manual struggle. If you are using Accubooks, you can automate the generation of BIR Form 0619E (Monthly Remittance Form of Creditable Income Taxes Withheld).
Follow this optimized 6-step workflow to ensure your business stays compliant with the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) regulations.
Step 1: Encode Transactions with Proper Withholding Tax
Accuracy starts at data entry. In the Disbursement or Purchase Module, encode all transactions subject to EWT.
Key Action: Ensure the correct ATC (Alphanumeric Tax Code) and withholding tax rates are applied.
SEO Tip: Proper categorization here ensures your Form 0619E reflects the exact tax liability.
Step 2: Approve and Process Payments
The system only pulls data from finalized records.
Approval: All transactions must be "Approved."
Payment Status: For Purchase transactions, ensure the payment has been processed. Since withholding tax is triggered upon payment (or when it becomes due and demandable), this step is critical for tax timing.
Step 3: Access the Payment Taxes Module
Once your monthly transactions are cleared, navigate to the Payment Taxes Module in your Accubooks dashboard.
Select WHT (Withholding Tax) to view the summary of taxes withheld from your suppliers or service providers.
Step 4: Process Your EWT Remittance
Before generating the form, you must record the intent to pay the BIR.
Create a payment for Expanded Withholding Tax for the applicable month.
Pro-Tip on BIR Deadlines: If you are processing January taxes, set the payment date between February 1 and February 10. This ensures your records align with the BIR deadline for 0619E.
Step 5: Generate BIR Form 0619E
With the payment recorded, head to the BIR Forms Module.
Click Expanded Withholding Tax.
Select BIR Form 0619E.
Choose the correct period (e.g., the month you just processed).
Click Save. Accubooks will automatically populate the fields based on your data.
Step 6: Final Review and Filing
Review the generated 0619E form for accuracy. The system creates a digital version of the tax form ready for your reference.
Accuracy Check: Compare the totals in the form against your Withholding Tax Expanded (WTE) reports.
Submission: Use the data to file via eFPS or eBIRForms.
